Match Review (Man U vs Roma)

No Ronaldo, no Rooney, no Vidic, no Evra, no nani, no Scholes...and Utd still won. A missed penalty by Roma, which should not have been given and a goal by Tevez. Lots of misses by Utd & Roma as well.

Van der Sar (6.5) : Some simple saves here and there.
Silvestre (6.5): Played decently with one good block, but occassionally got beaten and made misplaced passes.
Ferdinand (7.5): Played with some discomfort, but did well.
Pique (7): Good cover for Vidic, though not as imposing.
Brown (7): Played well again as right-back. Conceded a penalty despite clearly a good tackle.
Carrick (7): Another good match as holding midfield, with good long passes and tracked back to help defence.
Giggs (7.5): Much better game by him, made some dangerous passes.
Anderson (7): Good energy and good play, shooting improved slightly.
Hargreaves (8): Attacking play were good, made telling crosses into the box. Need to do better with shooting chances though.
Park (7): Another tireless display, hassled Roma and helped in defence occasionally.
Tevez (7.5): Was a bit loss when playing alone upfront. Good energy and a good headed goal.

Rooney (6.5) (for Giggs 74): Cameo appearance, did well.
O'Shea (6) (for Carrick, 74): Nothing to show for, just to help ensuring the clean sheet.
Neville (6) (for Anderson, 81): Nice to see him back.
