Match Review (Man U vs Liverpool)

What a match, what a mess casued by Mascherano. He had been one fo the dirtiest players in Liverpool and with constant fouling and arguing with the referee, he deserved to be sent off. Utd's finishing is missing, but still they got 3 goals!

Van der Sar (6.5) Not much to do, where is Torres?
Evra (7) Make some good runs down the line, but unalbe to put in telling cross / pass
Ferdinand (8.5) Captain quality, Giggs should surrender his captaincy soon.
Vidic (8.5) Torres? Where was he? Kept out of the game by Vidic.
Brown (8) Scored the important first goal for Utd.
Ronaldo (7.5) Could had scored more with luck.
Anderson (7) Poor shooting, some energy in midfield, but passes were ok only, over-rated by the media.
Scholes (7.5) Closed down easily initially, got better with the space given after Liverpool was reduced to 10 men.
Carrick (8) With him around, the midfield start to click. Spread the ball well.
Giggs (6.5) Play was average, but bring big game experience to the team with some defensive positioning.

Match Review (Derby vs Man U)

Still 3 points, but disappointing in front of goal. Luckily we have Foster and Ronaldo. Anderson and Scholes cannot play together and Anderson had not been as good in recent matches, so is Rooney. Without Rio, the defence, in fact the team, lacked leadership.

Foster (7.5): Great saves, but need to improve his kickings.
O'Shea (5.5): Not too convincing at right back.
Brown (6): Seems to play better at right back recently.
Vidic (6.5): Occasionally out of position, otherwise strong in the air.
Evra (6): Did not make forward runs much.
Park (5.5): Efforts shown and that's all.
Scholes (4.5): Worst performance of his career.
Anderson (4.5): Can't defence, not much effort shown and did not make much forward passes.
Giggs (5.5): Not much to show.
Ronaldo (6.5): Got the goal, but missed several others.
Rooney (5.5): did not do much, except for creating the goal.

Saha (5) (sub Park 61) - Battled hard, but not smart.
Carrick (6.5) (sub Scholes 61) Improved the fluency of Utd's play.
Fletcher (6) (sub Anderson 73) Made some good hassling.

Ferdinand, Vidic, Brown and Evra will start in defence as Alex will not want to take any chance with Foster playing first competitive game for a long while.
