United 5 Spurs 2

United produced a sensational second-half fight back to stun Tottenham at Old Trafford and keep their Premier League title bid on track.Strikes from Darren Bent and Luka Modric sent Spurs in ahead at the break but United scored five goals in 22 thrilling minutes to take the points.

First Cristiano Ronaldo scored a penalty that was awarded when Heurelho Gomes was adjudged to have fouled Michael Carrick. Wayne Rooney then scored two goals either side of another Ronaldo effort before Dimitar Berbatov went some way to answering his critics with a close range strike.

United are now three points ahead of second-placed Liverpool with a game in hand.It cannot have gone unnoticed either the half-time introduction of Carlos Tevez was the catalyst for the onslaught, even if the popular Argentina forward did not get his name on the scoresheet.
