Latest Man Utd Transfer News (3 Jul 09) Owen Fabiano Huntelaar Possebon

Michael Owen could be a Manchester United player by the end of Friday after a day of medical checks in the city. The England international is without a club following the expiry of his contract with Newcastle United and it appeared only Stoke City and Hull City were interested in offering him a contract. But now it appears Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to snap up a player who is fourth in the all-time goalscorers list for his country. Newspaper reports suggest the contract will be purely incentive based, depending on minutes played and goals scored.

Luis Fabiano is said to be a target for Manchester United Football Club. Reports in the Daily Mirror claim United are willing to pay a fee of £16million for the Brazilian international, who is currently contracted to Spanish side Sevilla.

Manchester United Football Club may ask Real Madrid about Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Reports suggest the Reds will now turn to the Spanish giants in a bid to persuade them to sell Huntelaar, the Dutch international striker, for around £12million this summer.

Rodrigo Possebon will spend next season at Sporting Braga. The Brazilian midfielder is being farmed out on loan to the Portuguese club as part of his grooming with United.
